I also understand Larry. He is miffed because he didn&amp;#39;t come up with it. In his defense, it IS the past at Oracle, with some technical distinctions; multi-tenancy, metadata driven architecture and metering. Internally Oracle has enjoyed many benefits of the Cloud for years and can be a a beacon to model one&amp;#39;s &amp;quot;Stairway to the Cloud.&amp;quot; Most organizations have some big gain potential that Oracle has already encountered. I blogged about it last week:&lt;br /&gt;http://ximix-blog.blogspot.com/2009/09/my-mom-larry-ellison-and-average-ceo.html</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/8723148708214979276/3780564954578925324/comments/default/1541626377174523972'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/8723148708214979276/3780564954578925324/comments/default/1541626377174523972'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://blog.appirio.com/2009/10/larry-ellison-takes-on-cloud.html?showComment=1254790328797#c1541626377174523972' title=''/><author><name>Rob Brown</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/03623353297320472713</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='32' height='32' src='http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_A1SLXggcVLw/SsJMCXwe_NI/AAAAAAAAAAo/Vbq7gBNoBTA/S220/0debed4.jpg'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://blog.appirio.com/2009/10/larry-ellison-takes-on-cloud.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8723148708214979276.post-3780564954578925324' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/8723148708214979276/posts/default/3780564954578925324' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-1146836911'/></entry></feed>
